Yalitza Aparicio Was Style Goals at the Latin Grammys

Last night’s edition of the Latin Grammys was on fire! But we’re drooling over some of Yalitza Aparicio’s looks.

Although some of us thought red carpets were not coming back anytime soon, the Mexican Oscar-nominated actress stole the show with her fashion looks.

The Oaxacan actress wore six beautiful and looks in cheerful colors (all from Latin American designers) on the most important night of Latinx música, that showed everyone who’s boss! And can we talk about her debut as an award show host, move over people, Yalitza is here to stay!

Let’s talk about some of them, starting with the red carpet:

Hello Pink!

One of the looks that turned heads was the hot pink look created by Brazilian brand, Helo Rocha. The actress team of stylists had this and other looks by designer Johanna Ortiz, but this three-quarter puffy sleeved look with plunging neckline made the final cut.

Black is back

This asymmetrical dress is a classic in any award show. The puffy sleeves reigned on most of Yalitza’s dresses and this one was not the exception. This was another Brazilian design by Vitor Zerbianato. And can we highlight the leg slit, very Angelina Jolie style!

Flower Power!

The white look she wore to present was by Venezuelan fashion designer, Carolina Herrera. The classic and iconic style of Herrera was combined with flowers from the Lilac brand on her head… it almost gives us Frida’s vibes.

Yellow is everything

Colombia design in the house! During the pre-Latin Grammys press trip and interviews, the actress dazzled with a design by Colombian brand Silvia Tcherassi sporting transparencies hinting at lots of feminine details.

We gotta say, with Yalitza Aparicio as the host and tons of music from all genres, this year the Latin GRAMMY’s proved they are way more festive than the normal vanilla GRAMMY’s. Not sorry.
