The question of whether or not we are ‘really alone in the universe’ may be answered soon…
In a report from the New York Times, a government effort was kept under wraps by Naval Intelligence that continued to study unidentified flying objects and their origins. The Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force, while not classified, deals with top secret information but will report findings to the public every six months.
There’s no guarantee that anything the group shares with the public will pertain to little green men making crop circles and abducting cows via tractor beams. However, this news does mark a change in government transparency regarding these mysterious objects. Former officials associated with these government programs like former director Luis Elizondo or astrophysicist Eric W. Davis could only make unfounded claims.
With new information released, perhaps some of the more exciting claims like Davis’ suggestion that humans could not make the objects that have been discovered or seen could be backed up by government records. We’ll simply have to wait and catch up on some X-Files in the meantime.
