Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson Test Positive For Coronavirus

Just minutes ago, legendary actor Tom Hanks wrote on his Instagram that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, have contracted COVID-19 AKA the infamous coronavirus while preparing to film a movie about the life of Elvis Presley in Australia. The Coronavirus is already affecting our everyday lives, even our hand-shaking habits, and this is the first story of a major star being involved.

“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia,” Mr. Hanks said in a statement. “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”

Hanks added that he and his wife would be tested and isolated as long as local public health and safety official require.

Mr. Hanks came down under to play the role of Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis Presley’s unconventional manager who helped Presley rise to superstar levels in the 1950’s. Production on the film, directed by Baz Luhrmann, is set to begin Monday; however, this unexpected illness leaves everything up in the air.
