Selena Quintanilla has been chosen by The Recording Academy to receive the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021. It’s the highest achievement the recording industry can give and the deserved award will honor Selena who will be one of the youngest to ever be honored considering she tragically died at the age of 23.
Selena Quintanilla will be an honoree of the 2021 Special Merit Awards awards along with Salt-N-Pepa, Marilyn Horne, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Lionel Hampton, and the Talking Heads. The news was posted to the official Selena social media accounts.
