President Tweets that He Has Tested Positive for COVID-19

According to multiple media outlets and his own Twitter, the President and First Lady have tested positive for COVID-19. The President sent out a 1am tweet from DC stating that he and Melania had tested positive for the virus. He has apparently already begun his quarantine, and is doing “well,” according to his physicians. As we know, Trump just recently started wearing face masks in public.

The news comes after his aide, Hope Hicks, tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in the day. This puts many upcoming campaign events in question, including the next two scheduled debates. It will probably be at least two weeks before Trump can get back on the campaign trail due to quarantine protocol, even if he is asymptomatic.

Many others are now wondering if the VP debate scheduled for Oct. 7th in Utah will happen due to the proximity of VP Mike Pence to the President throughout the last few days. He will be tested immediately, and may be required to quarantine whether or not he ends up testing positive for the virus. Only time will tell. 2020 is wild…
