Pitbull Joins Jay-Z to Invest in the Fitness World

This year will be memorialized by many entrepreneurs who have thrived during the tumultuous era of COVID-19.

As we take a look back through the year, the last main event we got to enjoy in person, pre-pandemic, was the Super Bowl XXI that took place this year in Miami. Two Latinas, Shakira and Jennifer López, rocked the Pepsi Half Time Show stage along with J Balvin and Bad Bunny. However, everyone was expecting Miami native, Mr. 305, to show up at the event as well – but it seems like he was focusing on some business ventures. We forgive him!

Ever since he evolved from Mr. 305 to Mr. Worldwide, he’s also been focusing his efforts on education, entrepreneurship, and motivational speaking. Despite his entrepreneurship activities, the Grammy winner has not left his love for sports and education behind.

As it is widely known, Pitbull founded SLAM!, a network of tuition-free public charter K-12 schools serving students who seek careers in the Sports Leadership and Management industries. Through SLAM!, “Pit” has helped teens in different cities throughout the country focus on school and elevate their High School graduation rate.

He also recently invested in CLMBR, a leader in connected fitness technology, to support the commercial launch of the company’s two flagship products: CLMBR Connected and CLMBR Pure.

“It’s an honor to be involved with a great group of investors at CLMBR, as we’ve all climbed our way to the top,” says Armando Christian Perez (Pitbull). “What caught my eye about CLMBR is its unique workout, it reminds me of performing on stage. I know people are going to enjoy this new way of working out at home.”

The collaboration with CLMBR will provide state-of-the-art fitness equipment and content to Sports Leadership and Management Public Charter Schools across the Country.

Pitbull joins the CLMBR investment team alongside Jay-Z, Novak Djokovic, venture capital and private equity firm KBW-Ventures, exercise physiologist and CEO and Founder of 22 Days Nutrition, Marco Borges, and co-Founder and former CEO of YouTube, Chad Hurley.

CLMBR is available for pre-order on Indiegogo.
