Eliud Kipchoge is The First Person to Run a Marathon in Under 2 Hours

Eliud Kipchoge, the current marathon world record holder has just broken the two-hour Marathon barrier. The running world has always though breaking the two hour mark in a marathon to be impossible, but the Kenyan runner has proved everyone wrong, his official time was 1:59:40.

“His official time was 1:59:40.”

For now, the feat is mostly symbolic since it was not run under open marathon conditions and featured many professional pacesetters, but most importantly Eliud has proven that it can be done. Watch below as he crosses the finish line!
