After being booked as a performer on the American Music Awards, Bad Bunny, El Conejo Malo had to cancel his performance due to Bad Bunny testing positive for coronavirus. EW.com got an update from his people stating that he is “Feeling okay.” and not showing major symptoms.
Bad Bunny shocked fans who expected him to perform the new hit “Dákiti” with Jhay Cortez, when he was a no show in-person and instead presented the first-ever Latin award for Favorite Female artist, which Becky G won and accepted with a heart warming speech to the immigrant community. He did not, however, leave empty-handed as he was able to give an acceptance speech for Favorite Latin Male Artist and Favorite Latin Album for his 2019 release YHLQMDLG.
His last award show performance was a show stopper alongside Ivy Queen at the Billboard Music Awards where he premiered their remix colab.

Twitter was quick to roast the artists because he was the main reason many people chose to tune in.
